GIPCA was launched in December 2008 with a grant from the Donald Gordon Foundation, and continues its work as a result of a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The Institute actively seeks partners both outside of the University and within it, in an effort to enrich the research and development of creative work and to make such work available to all communities.
